Art Auction to Benefit the Obama Campaign

The Nabi Gallery in Chelsea opened its 2008-09 season with Art for Obama, a show of paintings, prints, and sculpture by over 25 artists in support of the Democratic presidential candidate. The event, 12th in a series of Art for Obama fundraisers taking place around the country, was the best-attended the gallery has ever held, with nearly 300 people paying $20 each at the door to benefit the campaign. The Obama Victory Fund also received 50% of the proceeds of each art sale, except for a poster by Denise Regan, Obama Please Win, sales of which went 100% to the campaign.
